Thirty seven patients with multiple primary malignant neoplasms(MPMN) were reviewed and the incidence, most frequent combination sites, and the clinical characteristics were analysed. The incidence of MPMN was 2.1%. Synchronous tumors were found
in
19
cases, metachronous were in 18 cases. Most commonly associated tumors were lung &head and neck, lung & stomach, cervix & stomach, lung & leukemia, and cervix & lung. We need further progress in eliminating the known carcinogens in these patients
with
MPMN, early diagnosis, and treatment of second primary cancers.
